Trump’s
base. He’s xenophobic, racist, sexist, misogynistic, opportunistic, mendacious,
and makes no effort to counteract these impressions. Instead, he consolidates
them, brags and bullies. Trump’s base don’t seem to care. The unsilent minority
of deplorables want to be unignorable. They would have America hate again, indifferent
to his baseness. Trump’s base is Trump Towers in New York City where, we are
told, he “hunkers down” this October after the latest live mike video and its
unignorable base line. Though his party desert him, though policy bombs go off
in his face, still he enters debate armed with his Benghazi water-pistol.
